Don’t just take our word for it, MMRA has a dedicated staff that routinely provides quality service to our release of information customers. They are always very responsive to the customer’s needs and to the needs of the facility as well. MMRA constantly strives to keep up to date with the latest changes in technology and legal issues. Peg Schmidt, RHIA, Director, Working in a small facility I really don’t need a lot of attention. Our MMRA credentialed representative is extremely knowledgeable, helpful and blends in as if already part of our department. Lynn Olson, RHIA, Director, MMRA brought in an Imaging System to utilize for R.O.I. services. To further streamline the accessibility of medical records, we have chosen to image ER, outpatient, day surgery and inpatient records. The number of FTEs that are required to maintain our filing system has been reduced dramatically. MMRA’s service includes supplying the equipment, software, staff and expertise for not only set up but also for the ongoing operations of the imaging system. They basically do it all and have required very little involvement from hospital staff. It’s amazing how little time and effort I’ve had to put forth to implement and maintain the imaging process. Due to this process improvement, accessibility has increased and turnaround time has significantly decreased. Beth Danielczyk, RHIA Our customers continue to endorse . . . Northwestern Memorial Hospital has been affiliated with Midwest Medical Record Association for more than ten years and it has been a great working relationship. MMRA has always been responsive to our needs and accommodating to our requests for additional services as needed. A few years ago when the legislated attorney/patient rate went into effect, it was required by upper management that we go out for bid for release of information vendors. I interviewed two other companies but ultimately chose to remain with MMRA, as they were the best by far. Having an on-site supervisor to troubleshoot and act as a liaison between the hospital and MMRA staff has worked extremely well for us. As a former account manager for one of the other release of information companies that I interviewed, I am keenly aware of the need to maintain the confidentiality of patient’s protected health information, while releasing the records as requested, in a timely and efficient manner. I also recognize and respect the fact that MMRA understands this need as well. Elaine Tribble, Manager Customer Service, Medical Record Department, At my previous hospital, Little Company of Mary, I had MMRA as our R.O.I. vendor. So when I moved to St. Joseph’s, I immediately brought them in to start their R.O.I. services. They didn’t let me down and even began imaging ER records as well as all of our R.O.I. requests. Dana Nylen, RHIA, Director, H.I.S., St. Joseph’s Hospital I am extremely pleased with the release of information service that MMRA has been providing to the University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center. MMRA was able to come in and manage the daily workload as well as incorporate the backlog that existed. The on-site staff is very professional and dedicated to providing quality R.O.I. services. MMRA utilizes advanced correspondence tracking software with on-site scanning technology to provide a quality service. Patricia Cunningham, RHIA |
